Mega Star’s Prestigious 150th Film Titled ‘Kathilantodu’

Mega Star Chiranjeevi himself had announced that his 150th movie’s title as ‘Kathilantodu’. It is well aware that the 150th film of Chiranjeevi will be the remake of a successful Tamil film ‘Kathi’ and it would be directed by maverick director VV Vinayak. Mega Star revealed the title during an interaction with his fans during a recent blood donation campaign. However, there is a hitch for the launch of the film shooting as Chiranjeevi has to undergo a surgery to his shoulder at a hospital in Mumbai. After taking rest for a couple of weeks, he will join the shooting of the film. As per the available reports the shooting of the film will begin somewhere during May and Nayanatara is going to pair up with Chiranjeevi as the female lead. Nayanatara is being paid a bomb for the role, it is learnt. If everything moves as per expected lines, the film is most likely to hit the screens during Sankranti season next year. Ram Charan and Lyca Productions are jointly producing this mega project. Pre-production work of the move is on in a brisk pace.

Pawan Kalyan Says Acting Is Not His Forte

Power Star Pawan Kalyan in a recent interview revealed that he doesn’t want to take up acting as a profession. Accidentally, he came into this glamour world. Basically, he wanted to be a good farmer. But the destiny took him to the acting profession and even now, he doesn’t want to continue in the acting profession for long. However, he claims that his entry into politics was made as per his planning. “I thought I wanted to express my feeling towards the society without fear somewhere. I need to voice against few issues in real life. For me, films are not the life and everything. A human being’s life is far more bigger than all these things like films. You can ask me why I opted for acting when I am not interested. The answer for this question is sustainability. I should sustain myself and stand on my own legs. I have my own views. After a few years, I will retire as an actor and take up writing because I enjoy writing,” he says. At present he is doing a film titled ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’. The movie is being produced jointly by Pawan Kalyan and Sharat Maraar on the joint banner of Pawan Kalyan Creative works and Northstar Entertainments Pvt Ltd. For the first time, Kajal Agarwal is pairing up with the Power Star. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the film is coming up very well and I am happy with the entire team members who are cooperating with each other. Our entire unit is now concentrating on the project. We are planning to wrap up the shooting at the earliest.

New Twist In 100th Movie Of Balakrishna

Nata Simha Balakrishna had recently completed his 99th movie ‘Dictator’. Though 60 days were over since the completion of that movie, Balayya did not give clarity about the prestigious 100th movie. Though the names of top directors like Boyapati Srinu and Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, have come up for consideration, the name of Krishnavamsi popped up and it was claimed that the film was almost confirmed as the 100th movie. It is the story of a farmer who turned a politician to do good to the fellow human beings. It was also said that pre-production works were also started for that flick. In the meanwhile, there is a twist in the tale. Director Krishh, who proved himself as a different director with new wave films and created a style of his own had entered the race. He had penned a historical subject titled ‘Gauthami Puthra Shatakarni’. Belonging to 1st century BC the story runs with Amaravati in its backdrop. Thinking that this subject would also be a good selection, Balakrishna reportedly gave a nod for that subject. So these two stories are now in the race for the prestigious 100th film of Balakrishna. Let us wait and see for a few more days to know which film would go to sets first. In a couple of days there will be a clarity… so keep watching this place.

‘Bantipula Janaki’ Completes 80 Per Cent Shooting

Dhanraj, Deeksha Pant, Shakalaka Shankar, Adurs Raghu, Venu, Chammak Chandra, Rocket Raghava, Sudigaali Sudhir are in the lead cast for ‘Bantipula Janaki. Comedy was given preference for the movie and the film would be very curious right from the word go till the end. Kalyani Ram is producing the film on the banner of Ujwala Creations with Nellutla Praveen Chander wielding the megaphone. So far, the film had completed 80 per cent of the shooting. Even the output came out satisfactorily. We are confident that our film will be one among the hit films among the small budget movies. In the ensuing final schedule we will complete the shooting of talkie part besides a song.’ Dr Bharat Reddy, Phani, Komali, Jeevan and others are in the cast. Memu To Hit Screens On March 18

Super Star Suriya, Amala Paul and Bindu Madhavi played the lead in a successful Tamil Film ‘Pasanga-2’ directed by Pondy Raj and produced by Gnanavel Raja on the banner of Studio Green is now being dubbed into Telugu with the title ‘Memu’ by none other than Suriya on his own banner 2D Entertainments. While Suriya will be the presenter, Julakanti Madhusudan Reddy of Manikanta Creations is the producer of the Telugu version. ‘Memu’ is slated to hit the screens on March 18. Speaking on the occasion, producer says, ‘We are feeling proud for bringing out the film in Telugu. Every parent should watch this film ‘Pasanga-2’ with their children. Not only the Tamil media but also the English media complimented this movie as a great film. The film had bagged as many positive reviews that no other film had got so many ratings. Pondy Raj had proved himself once again with ‘Memu’ and made it a blockbuster in Tamil. We are making efforts to release the film in as many theatres on March 18. ‘Whenever I think of going to Vijayawada, I remember several memorable incidents and memories. In fact, Vijayawada is my mother, my father, my teacher and my god. I have told this several times in the past and I am reiterating it once again. Whatever I have learnt is from Vijayawada alone. I have lots of affection on the history of ‘Vangaveeti’ family. With the same affection, I have released the title song some time ago. That song was penned by Sirasri and Susarla Rajasekhar gave tunes to that song. Now, I am going to Vijayawada openly despite several threats to my life from unlawful elements to gather secrets which are not even known to me and will return only after collecting those secrets. I dare those elements who gave threatening calls to me to do whatever they want,’ says Ram Gopal Varma.

Dhanaa Dhan audio launched

The successful Tamil film ‘Damaal Dumeel’ with Vaibhav and Ramya Nambeesan in the lead roles is being dubbed into Telugu with the title ‘Dhanaa Dhan’ jointly by Shiva Y Prasad and Srinivas Anantaneni on the banner of Blockbuster Movie Makers. The audio of the Telugu version was launched at Prasad Labs recently. Mega Brother Nagababu had attended the function as chief guest and unveiled the first CD and handed it over to noted director Kodandarami Reddy. Speaking on the occasion, Nagababu says, ‘I knew Shiva as a good technician. He had informed me even before taking the Tamil film for dubbing and I okayed it. All the songs and trailers are quite interesting. The film was big hit in Tamil and I wish that the Telugu version would also be a big hit and earn a good name to Shiva as producer.’ Kodandarami Reddy says, ‘Earlier, ‘Kamaal’ is the title that was considered for the Tamil version. However, that title was already registered by some others, they confirmed the title ‘Damaal Dumeel’. This film had earned a good name to hero Vaibhav. He is presently busy in Tamil and is getting busy even in Telugu in recent days. I wish the film a big success and earn huge profits to the producers.’ Producer Shiva Y Prasad says, ‘It is Rama Satyanarayana who promoted me from editor to producer. Though I had taken the dubbing rights, I thought I need a partner to maintain quality in dubbing. At that time, Srinivas Anantaneni came forward. From now on, we both together produce films. Nagababu also cooperated with us and Vaibhav performed excellently. The film, which was made with high technical values, was a big hit in Tamil. We are planning to release the Telugu version on March 11. I wish the Telugu audiences will make the film a big hit.

‘Guntur Talkies’ to hit screens on March 4

Directed by National Award winning movie director Praveen Sattaru, ‘Guntur Talkies’ has Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Naresh Vijaykrishna, Reshmi Gautham,Shraddha Das, Lakshmi Manchu and Mahesh Manjrekar in the lead roles. The film is being produce by Rajkumar M on the banner of RK Studios. The film had completed all the formalities including censor and is set for a grand release on March 4. Noted distributor Sai Korrapati of Varahi Chalana Chitra banner is releasing the film through his banner. Sricharan scored tunes for the songs and there is a tremendous response to all the songs. Especially the story of the film is a youth subject. Praveen Sattaru had moulded the film in an entertaining way on a different zoner. Producer Rajkumar M expressed his happiness as Sai Korrapati of Varahi Chalana Chitra came forward to release the film.

‘Araku Roadlo’ is an action and thriller movie

Ram Shankar and Nikisha Patel are pairing up for ‘Araku Roadlo’ directed by Vasudev and jointly produced by Bhala Subrahmanyam Meka, Suresh Varma Indukuri, Rameshwari Nakka on the banner of Seshadri Creations and Sai Venkateswara Entertainment. The film is being shot at Hyderabad now. Speaking to the media at the shooting location, hero Ram Shankar says, ‘We are shooting in a pub set for the last two days. There is a good response to the teaser released recently. Almost more that half of the film was shot. The film is based on a thriller subject and we are confident that it would be liked by one and all. Producers giving full cooperation in film-making and the film is coming up with all commercial elements. We will soon release the movie.’ Heroine Nikisha Patel says, ‘The film is a complete action movie with thriller in its backdrop. I liked my character in this flick. Especially Ram Shankar is working very hard. I am shocked the way how he takes care of everything. Director Vasudev has a very good vision.’ Director Vasudev says, ‘More than half of the film shooting was complete. We are planning to wrap up the shooting by April 15 and release the film by the end of April. Though I am novice, Ram Shankar is supporting me well. There is a good applause from the audience for the teaser released recently.’ Another artiste Abhimanyu Singh says, ‘The moment the director narrated the story to me, I thought it is a quite novel subject. Definitely it will be one of the best roles in my career. Ram Shankar is also doing a tremendous job. This film would also remain a milestone in his career as well.’

Koratala Siva Eagerly Looks At Mega Compound

After Mirchi, Koratala Siva was supposed to do a film with Ram Charan as hero with Blockbuster producer Bandla Ganesh to invest his currency. However, the film was shelved for the best reasons known to the film-makers and director. Though Siva narrated the story to Charan and he has also okayed the storyline but, somehow it was shelved. After that he joined Maheshbabu and gave a mega hit like ‘Srimanthudu’. After that film Siva got ready to direct NTR for ‘Janata Garrage’. Still, Siva has a dream to enter into the Mega Compound and to direct one among those Mega heroes like Ram Charan or Pawan Kalyan. Koratala Siva, who is basically a story writer has several storylines and many of them are in the stage of developing and making good scripts. May be one or two among them may see Cherry or Kalyan in the lead role and let us with that his dream will come true very soon.
